Please note that some events may require pre-registration or may have fees.  Each event has a link to get directions to the venue and a link to register for the event, if required.
If you have questions while you are here on campus, please stop by our table to ask your questions, pick up a free Spring Family Weekend sticker, or a parent and family calendar and handbook! The hours and locations for our information table is listed below:

  Friday - Sunday, 6:00AM - 10:00PM  Free Access to Recreational Sport Facilities - Dixon Recreation Center and McAlexander Fieldhouse
Family members receive free access to Dixon Recreation Center and McAlexander Fieldhouse when accompanied by student all Spring Family Weekend.

  Friday May 3rd, 5:00PM through Sunday, May 5th Free Group Fitness Classes - Dixon Recreation Center
Group Fitness Classes at Rec Sports are free when accompanied by a group fitness pass holder for Spring Family Weekend after 5 p.m. on Friday, May 3 through Sunday, May 5th.   Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; 2:00PM, 5:30PM & 8:00PM Slumberland Virtual Theatre (45 minutes) - Ray Theater (PRAx) 

In "Slumberland," audiences enter the Ray Theater and are transported to a beautiful digital dream world, where every star tells a story about young people's experiences of insomnia, technology, and the night. In this 45-minute, participatory VR experience, audience members wear a virtual reality headset and interact with one another and with a live actor in the virtual space. Before and after the show, you are invited to learn about VR theater technologies and enjoy a cup of tea specially blended to promote healthy sleep by Oregon Coffee and Tea Co. Fees are associated with this event.

    10:00AM - 11:00AM ROTC Joint Service Review - Memorial Union Quad 

The Joint Service Review is a parade and review by the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Reserve Officer Training Corps. The OSU ROTC Units will assemble to celebrate the tradition of "inspecting the troops," which is a tradition that started back in 1916.

  1:00PM - 5:00PM Avant-Garden Party - Fairbanks Hall

A collaboration between art and music that you won't want to miss! Join Montage: Fine art club at OSU outside Fairbanks Hall for a creative extravaganza with live music from local band, Bluessence!

  2:00PM - 4:00PM OSU Libraries & Press Open House - Valley Library 

Come see the many services that the OSU Libraries & Press offers the OSU community. There will be activities and prizes available.

  4:00PM - 5:00PM OSU Pilot Food Processing Plant - 100 Wiegand Hall
Families will learn about the College of Agricultural Sciences, the importance of the agriculture/food industry, and get to taste natural ice cream popsicles!

  4:00 - 5:00PM First Generation Parent/Family Social - CH2M HILL Alumni Center 

A social for current parents, families, and their students. First-generation students are defined at OSU as those who are of the first generation in their family to earn a 4-year college degree. Come by to meet other parents/families, mingle and interact with OSU staff/leadership working with first-gen students. Light refreshments and non-alcoholic beverages will be available. Registration is required, although walk-up families will be accepted depending on availability. Register here.

  5:00PM - 6:30PM Parent/Family Social - International Living-Learning Center (ILLC) 

A social for parents, families, and their students. All current parents/family member and their students are invited to meet each other, mingle and interact with OSU staff/leadership and learn more about OSU. Heavy appetizers, non-alcoholic beverages, and beer/wine for those 21 and over will be available. This event is free for students, but there is a fee for family members. Registration is required, although walk-up families will be accepted depending on availability.    6:00PM - 7:00PM Experiencing Wine - Johnson Hall
In this tasting, your senses will enjoy four different types of sparkling wine and you'll learn about how they are made along with the perfect food pairings for an amazing combination that must be experienced. This unique workshop couples science with the senses, resulting in a richer tasting experience and comprehensive understanding of wine. Must register by April 25. Capacity will be limited to just 100. This event includes fees, must be 21 and over to participate. For more information and registration, click here.

Come watch the long-anticipated performance of All University Sing 2024! This year's theme is "Corvallisfest", with each team representing a specific musical artist!

  9:00am - 11:00AM  Brunch with Honors College - 3rd Floor of LINC 

Join the Honors College for brunch and get an opportunity to interact with staff from the Honors College. There will be an art show and refreshments will be available.

  9:00AM - 12:00PM  Spring Prospective Student Day for the College of Pharmacy - Pharmacy Building

  9:00AM - 11:00AM AND 1:00PM - 3:00PM  OSU Campus Arboretum Flowering Trees & Shrubs Tour - Leaves from the Memorial Union Quad 

Come enjoy a lovely spring day stroll around the OSU Campus Arboretum. The tour will highlight the history of the OSU campus landscape and cover many of the trees and shrubs on campus that make up the woody plant collection of over 65,000 individual plants. Register here.

  9:00AM - 3:00PM  Benton County Master Gardener Plant Sale & Clinic - Benton County Fairgrounds 

The sale is under cover in the Solar Barn and the Floral Courtyard and offers over 10,000 locally grown plants for both landscape and productive gardens. Payment can be made by cash, check, or card. Admission and parking are free. Come early for the best selection.

  10:00am - 3:00PM  OSU Pet DayMagruder Hall 

OSU Pet Day is one of the most popular annual events in Corvallis! Activities include a petting zoo, teddy bear surgery, dog wash, dog agility demos and more. Numerous booths will be open to provide information on animal health and wellness, nutrition, adoption, therapy, sell animal-related products and gifts. You can also visit with llamas, goats, greyhounds and ponies!

  10:00AM - 4:00PM  North West Spring FestStudent Experience Center Brick Mall 

Opportunity to shop local vendors, enjoy local food trucks, and grab a drink during family weekend!

  10:00AM - 5:00PM  Marksmanship Club - Target Range Simulator - McAlexander Fieldhouse
Learn firearms safety and try pistol marksmanship games with our smokeless target range simulator. A $5 fee is associated with this event.

   10:00AM - 1:00PM  Made at OSU Sale - Austin Hall 

This is a free event is run by the College of Business. Student entrepreneurship teams sell their custom products. Products range from treats to household goods and apparel. There will be over 60 booths of products to shop from!

  10:30AM - 1:00PM  Spring Family Weekend 5K - Avery Park. 

The 5K Fun Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, May 4th at Avery Park. Check-in begins at 10:30am and the race will begin promptly at 11:00am. Please arrive early to allow enough time for check-in and warm-up. Recreational racers are encouraged. This event is free when accompanied by a Student or Rec Sports Member. Preregistration is required. Register here by May 3rd at 2pm.

  11:00AM - 1:00PM OSU Craft Center Activities - OSU Craft Center in the Student Experience Center

Screen Print your own T-shirt & Craft Workshops! Free Activities include: Spin Art & A Spring themed family-friendly crafts. Some fees may apply.

  2:00PM Spring Family Weekend Golf Tournament - Trysting Tree Golf Course
The tournament is a 2-person scramble format on Saturday, May 4th, with the first tee time around 2:00pm. Please register before April 30 by 5:00 p.m. There will be a Men's+, Women's+, and Co-Rec Division. There will be prizes for top teams per division, plus for Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin.  Preregistration is required. For more information and registration, click here.

  7:00PM - 9:00PM  Jaku Mumor - Detrick Hall (PRAx) 

In "Jaku Mumor," multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and dancer Okaidja Afroso dives into his cultural roots by collaborating with Indigenous Ga-Dangme fishermen to share the artistry of their a cappella singing and chants in his music and via film. A moving tribute to the fishermen of Ghana in their fierce determination to survive the impact of evolving fishing practices on traditional cultures, the program joins musical and visual elements to produce an unforgettable experience that is at once aesthetic, cultural and environmental.
